@SimplySeema working her magic @KitchenSurfing yesterday! It was incredible!

kitchensurfing:

Amazing event again. Unfortunately no leftovers, but we still remember the great food. We had yesterday our second dinner event with Seema Shah, who is as many other chef a self-taught cook and passionate about making meals from various cuisines healthy and colorful. About 20 people celebrated the delicious food Seema was cooking and the yummy Manhattan Drinks made by Lars. It was a great evening with a lot of smiles and we are looking forward to repeat this…may be in two weeks. Seema is a certified holistic health coach and chocolatier that has taken various culinary classes in New York City. She uses her extensive knowledge in health and nutrition and applies it to her dishes. Check out her website  www.simplyseema.com

Last night’s menu: Cilantro Potato Chutney Crunch, Phav Bhaji aka Indian Sloppy Joe’s, Colorful Avocado Kale Salad, Cinnamon Chocolate Oat Cookies with Lemon Ginger Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Seema’s Indian Feast @KitchenSurfing

I’ve always known that Seema was a great cook, but this was amazing. I LOVE phav bhaji and my mom would always make it. So, this meal took me back home.

App: Cilantro Potato Chutney Crunch

Main Course: Phav Bhaji w/ Colorful Avocado Kale Salad

Dessert: Cinnamon Chocolate Oat Cookies w/ Lemon Ginger Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

After Meal Mint: Paan

It’s been a really long time since I’ve heard a remake that could compare…

I don’t think I’ve gotten my fill of Indian food to last me the next 4 months. I gotta start cooking stuff other than pasta.
