Curry, Ya! - I would have had seconds.

On the hunt for grub on a late Saturday afternoon, we came across this place looking for ramen. Instead, we found 3 places that only served curry. So, we folded.

The spot is small, has a bar-esque setup, and can fit about 20 people.

Our server was friendly and our food came out pretty quick, which is always a nice plus.

I ordered the ‘Hot’ Beef Dried Curry entree with a Lychee Lassi

The entre was phenomenal full of flavor and a good amount for a guy who was starving. But next time, I’ll make sure to order their ‘Very Hot’ because this one didn’t have much of a kick.

The lassi was AMAZING! At first, I was surprised to see ‘lassi’ on the menu, thought it was an Indian-only thing, so I had to try it. Man, step aside mangos, you’ve got some competition!

Now, I just have to try the rest of the curry spots on the block to compare.

Wasabi Tonkotsu Ramen @ Ippudo NY.
It was good. Full of flavor. The meat wasn’t chewy or tough. The noodles were a dente. The ambiance was trendy/dark and all of the chefs and servers welcomed you as you entered which is always cool.
But, why do I miss Ramenya?
The bowls/portions were half the size of Ramenya’s. We waited close to 2hrs for our table. And the cost was twice as much, but I guess that could be attributed to 1) the East Village, 2) New York, 3) hipsters.

Spicy Dynamite Roll @ Sushi Mac
So if we had gone here before trying Sushi Stop, our thoughts may have been different. The rolls fell apart almost instantly, the ginger was stale and the menu isn’t as big as Sushi Stop.

Does tossing an umbrella into the mix, rep that you’re supposed to be charged a ridiculous amount? Given, I wasn’t expecting much, but still.
